Art Installations - Technical References & Notes

Like any good mad scientist recording your experiments isn't a bad thing :)

That way if your creation eats you, or more likely when you forget stuff, you'll have some vague idea of what happened. So heres some notes, test files and other useful bits.
    - File #1: Techie Notes

This PDF contains assorted notes and observations when using the DV300. Please note it uses technical language and assumes some knowledge of video editing and codecs.

    Download - 14k .zipped PDF

    -
    - File #2: Image Test Sizes

A series of images to help define the best image size for a particular TV or monitor. When using you should also check that the coloured squares, circles and text are in the correct aspect ratio as well as the size.

    Download - 3.64mb .zip

    -
    - File #3: Panoramas 1

Some panoramic videos made using Ashampoo HD Slideshow Creator from single Sony a33 sweep panoramic photos.

    Download - 40.4mb .zip
    -
    - File #4: Panoramas 2

A series of standard sized digital photos was stitched using professional panoramic software, rather than sweep panos. Then ran through the slideshow software. Non HDR imagery here, but both real HDR or puesdo HDR works well.

    Download - 7.71mb .zip

    - File #5: TV 1
Video slideshow made with the above software and using the Ken Burns effect. This one is designed for standard - 4.3 ratio- TV/monitor screens.

    Download - 53.5mb .zip
    -
    - File #6: TV 2
Slideshow as above, but made for widescreen - 16.9 ratio - screens.

    Download - 50.7mb .zip
    -
    - File #7: 3D Video - Anaglyphic
Some test files - cardboard red and blue glasses required. One clip was created with Augart 2D-3d, one is a straight non-3d MP4 conversion from a flip HD, the final one was created with MakeMe3d.
